Associate editor Tim Pollard drove an Infiniti M35h hybrid to record a 13.9sec time over the standing quarter mile - as quick as a Lamborghini Countach would've been in the 1980s. Is the new Jaguar Sports car going to be called the Jaguar C-XE? Jaguar are keen to associate their new sports car – the Jaguar C-X16 Concept – with the legendary E-Type, so it seemed logical they would call it XE. But it looks like it may actually be the Jaguar C-XE.

New Mercedes B Class to spawn 7 Seat version

It looks like Mercedes are going to stretch the appeal of the new B Class by adding a new 7 seat option. Mercedes foray in to small hatchbacks has not exactly been an unmitigated success. The last generation A and B class were really just two sizes of the same car, neither of which had much driver appeal and were bought as runarounds by Mercedes buyers who wanted a car for ‘er indoors.
